Do Not Make Yourself Vile

1 Samuel 3:12-13 NKJV

In that day I will perform against Eli all that I have spoken concerning his house, from beginning to end. [13] For I have told him that I will judge his house forever for the iniquity which he knows, because his sons made themselves vile, and he did not restrain them.

Beloved,

You are a product of a making. Everyone has been made or is being made and that is what makes everyone a product. You are either a product of God, of circumstances, of people, of a society or of yourself.

For instance, the scripture above stated that Eli’s children had made themselves vile. The word, vile means “foul”. This connotes that these children were oozing out a foul smell before the Lord. They made themselves repulsive to God.

May I ask you, what are you making out of your life? Growing up, there is a saying in my language that says, “my parents have given birth to me and I have to give birth to myself too”. Now, the question is which kind of “your person” are you giving birth to?

It is time to review what we are gradually becoming by our daily choices, decisions, habits and the relationships we maintain. Don’t be a believer that is attractive to men but abominable to God.

This is your best week ever.

I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.

I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
