Living A Godly Life (V)
1 Peter 2:17 TPT
[17] Recognize the value of every person and continually show love to every believer. Live your lives with great reverence and in holy awe of God. Honor your rulers.
Beloved,
We will round off our series on living a godly life as we consider the last principle from Apostle Peter’s model, and that is effective relationships. Some points to note about effective relationship are as follows:
- Recognize the value of every person. Do not just get engrossed in your life alone. Take your time to study people and acknowledge who they are and who they must be to you. A lot of people live helplessly today because they cannot recognize who people are in destiny. There are people that the only thing they know about others are their weaknesses and flaws. They allow that to block their view of the good thing that those people represent. It is easy to recognize people’s flaws and weaknesses, but it takes a conscious effort to see the good in people. Seeing the value of people makes you relate with them with honor and dignity.
- Show love to every believer. This seems to be difficult in the body of Christ. I guess Christ perceived that which was why He prayed for His disciples to be one. Loving each other is a mandate we must all pursue. Love silences every doctrinal difference and diverse opinion we have about life. It makes us focus on exhibiting and expressing the same love God shows to us.
- Live your lives in holy awe and with great reverence of God. This is explicit enough. I think one major thing that we lack in the church is the spirit of the fear of God. Our generation rarely fears God, and I think the extreme emphasis on grace has led to this menace. We must be careful lest this end-time spirit catches up with us.
Be intentional in living a Godly life that our God may be glorified.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
