What Sin Are You Aware Of?
1 Samuel 3:12-13 NKJV
In that day I will perform against Eli all that I have spoken concerning his house, from beginning to end. [13] For I have told him that I will judge his house forever for the iniquity which he knows, because his sons made themselves vile, and he did not restrain them.
Beloved,
I want you to be careful of what you were aware of which you did not deal with accordingly. The Bible did not portray Eli as a bad person when it comes to his responsibilities as a priest and his relationship with people, his fault was in how he discharged his responsibilities as a father. The Lord was specific about the sin he knew his children were committing and he did not do anything substantial to mitigate. Yes, he challenged them once about it but that was not enough before the Lord. On the note of his inability to adequately discharge his responsibility he lost those two sons of his and he also died.
My challenge to you is this: Is there any sin in your life or home or within the jurisdiction God has placed you that you are aware of and you have not adequately addressed? Please let the Holy Spirit help you to make a thoughtful search and please do something about it. Do something concrete and tangible.
The consequence of keeping quiet as a leader about what angers God is huge. Please learn to address the sin of which you are aware. Put a structure of restraint on ground to help people to put to them to check and the Lord will help us as we do so.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
