Living A Godly Life (III)
1 Peter 2:13,15 TPT
[13] In order to honor the Lord, you must respect and defer to the authority of every human institution, whether it be the highest ruler [15] For it is God’s will for you to silence the ignorance of foolish people by doing what is right.
Beloved,
Last week, we established that one major way we live a Godly life is by living an honorable life. This week, we are establishing that one way to live an honorable life is by honoring authority figures placed over us as it is in line with God’s authority. We are living in the days when everybody has an opinion and has access to media to air their opinion. This freedom has raised rebels in our generation more than any other generations that have ever lived.
We must be careful lest our freedom become our source of bondage. There is a righteous of obeying all authority even if you do not agree to all they do. The scripture read today established that our obedience to authority has the compelling force of silencing any evil.
My father in destiny, Rev. Olusola Areogun taught us that “don’t let the irresponsibility of the irresponsible make you who is responsible to become irresponsible”. So, train yourself to always do what is right regardless of people’s attitude to doing the right thing.
In this, we live a godly life and our God is glorified.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
