“When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when he comes, he finds it swept and put in order. Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first.”

Luke 11:24-26

Except a man falls under the influence of a spirit, it's not possible for his heart to be empty. Why? As one thing exits your mind, another thing enters. God never designed men's hearts to be without!

As a follow up to our discussion last week, the danger of losing our guard is that something lower in strength will suddenly become stronger than us, and before you know it, it plunders our territory. That is why we cannot afford to lose our guard.

The trembling part of this is that evil always returns to where it has once been driven from and when it returns, it dies so more dangerously. So, keep your heart with all diligence. Fill your heart with God’s word and prophetic word by reading and meditation. Take the time to think consciously. Make sure your mind is either busy thinking or fellowshipping with the Holy Spirit. As an earthen vessel, let your life carry the treasure of the power of God (2 Corinthians 4:7). That is why it is just important you get involved in spiritual activities as stipulated by your God-ordained local church.
